Arsenal Football Newsletter

The Champions League draw is upon us as the last-16 fixtures and much more are decided today, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa all in the mix.

In the new league phase format, the top eight teams all progressed straight through to the last 16 while the teams that finished between ninth and 24th had to navigate a two-legged knockout play-off tie, with everyone else eliminated from Europe altogether.

Liverpool know they could face Paris Saint-Germain in the next stage, while Arsenal will be happy with how the results have fallen their way as they could face a reunion with ex-striker Robin van Persie.
